My Creative Space - Journal Cover

I tried something new for me this week and had my first attempt at a journal cover.

This was the result and I'm kind of happy with it -though I see areas for improvement.

I raided my lace stash and used some lace scraps but also some of my grandmother's vintage crochet lace for the first time.

The polka dot fabric was just begging to be added
...so I caved in.....

I couldn't resist adding some vintage scraps and ribbons...

and a couple of black organza flowers...

  7. This is the perfect way to use your grandma's crochet lace. It's especially nice for those little pieces that are too short for most projects. Great idea!
