Summer Reading

I've been lucky enough this summer to get some reading done.
Under the shade, next to the beach, is definitely one of the best ways to do it.

Agatha Christie's Parker Pyne Investigates was very enjoyable and now I've started Death Of An Elgin Marble by David Dickinson. I've only read a couple of pages but it's a great start and I'm hooked!

Poirot's Last Case

For perfect summer reading you can't do much better than the Queen of Mystery herself!
Agatha Christie's Curtain: Poirot's Last Case.

The Scarlet Pimpernel

Getting my summer reading list together....

What kind of a summer reading list would it be without some wild, romantic adventures and daring, swashbuckling heroes?

Summer Reading - The Valley Of Amazement

I'm a huge Amy Tan fan so I'm surprised this one got away from me for as long as it has (it was published in November 2013).

I've only just started it but it is in true Tan style, a highly addictive story, masterfully told.

Any Amy Tan fans out there?
Have you read this one?

Summer Reading List

aka Wishful Thinking....

This stack of books has been patiently waiting to be read for a long time so I've decided to call it my summer reading list and see how that fares.....

I just realized that I've actually read two of these -a long time ago- and am looking forward to re-reading them.

Has anyone read James M. Cain?
This is my very first attempt and I don't know what to expect.
I ordered these after seeing the Mildred Pierce short series with Kate Winslet and I can't recomend that highly enough.

I'm very excited to read these two books as well, by Edward Rutherfurd -an amazing author.
I've actually read London -years ago- and it's one of those books that you always remember.
A true masterpiece.
Has anyone read it?

What's on your summer reading list?
