A Day Too Late...

This was to be my Spring For Cotton entry but it was finished a day too late.....The finishing stitches were put this morning so I missed yesterday's deadline.

I've had this pattern for some time now and have been itching to make it but there's always something that's more urgent in line to be made....
While I cannot find a date for the pattern, it seems like a more modern re-issue of a 30s or 40s bag pattern.
(If anyone has any information on it, I'd appreciate it very much.)

The charcoal and red cotton jersey I used for the bag comes from a t-shirt my kid outgrew.
I love re-cycling and re-using favourite clothes, especially kid's clothes. It's a keepsake that you can take along with you.

The inside bag is lined with cotton canvas but in my haste I forgot to take a picture of it.

Spring For Cotton Sewing Challenge

I've been meaning to post about this fun sewing challenge for a while now - but, as you may have noticed, posts have been a bit scarce around here lately - due to a monster work overload.
