Christmas Pop Up This Weekend!

Today and for this weekend -and just in time for Christmas!- the greek etsy team (egst) is having a pop up shop in the centre of Athens, just below the Acropolis.
I'm happy to be part of it this year with some of my latest Fairytale Flower headbands, hair clips and keyrings!

The dates are Friday 16 to Sunday 18 December from 12pm to 10pm and the address is Veikou 6, Koukaki.
There will also be a giveaway for shoppers with all sorts of handmade goodies from the egst team.

Featured Seller

I'm thrilled to have my Fairytale Flower shop featured on the EGST blog today!

I was contacted by the lovely Polina, who runs the interview column of the EGST blog last month and of course I jumped at the chance to be part of the Featured Seller posts, among artists and crafters that I respect and admire.
You can read the interview here.

It was very interesting trying to answer questions about feelings and situations that you never question because they have been a part of you for so long that they have become your reality.
It was an enlightening experience.

I have offered the EGST blog readers 30% off any Fairytale Flower accessory with the use of this coupon: EGST30. It's valid until March 6.

I could hardly exclude my lovely visitors from the offer. If you are reading this and would like to take advantage of the offer, feel free to use the same coupon on any purchase except custom orders.

How to make a Circle Brooch Tutorial

The Circle Brooch Tutorial -or How to make a Circle Brooch- is now up over on the EtsyGreekStreetTeam blog.

This is my very first tutorial. Ever. That 's why I started with a simple one -to ease me into it gently.
So I'm very excited  (as well as a tiny bit apprehensive....).

I will freely admit that I'm addicted to these little circle brooches.
So it's no wonder they are my very first contribution to tutorial-writing.

They are very easy to make but do not underestimate their power to totaly transform a look as well as your mood.

Depending on your choice of fabrics as well as colours they can turn out surprisingly different in style and look.

They originated from my need to keep little keepsakes of favourite clothing which -for a variety of reasons- couldn't be worn, saved or gifted and they seem to be almost all I wear lately.

I get a lot of requests for them.

Unprepossessing as they may seem to some, they win you over the minute you attach them to any single item of your clothing on your actual person....
Honestly, I've seen it happen to their harshest critics..to their least-likely-to-appeal-to candidates...
It's uncanny.

I'd love it if you sent me pictures of your version of these brooches to show in a seperate post somewhere down the track.

Saturday Shopping- Golden Ruffle Ruff/Cuff

This is a new addition to the shop.
It's a collar or scarf when worn casualy around the neck, a ruff when wound tighter and a cuff when you wrap it around your wrist.

For some reason this picture reminds me of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

(And Merryl Streep by association.)

It's made out of a velvety vintage white cotton.

And some lovely vintage gold lace...

All in all it's a pretty versatile accessory.

For more Saturday Shopping visit zsazsazsu and browse through the links. I'm sure you'll come across some marvellous finds.

EGST Challenge- Flying Flamingo

I'm very happy to be hosting this month's challenge for the Etsy Greek Street Team.
The inspiration for this challenge is this wonderful photo by Stephmel of a pink flamingo captured in flight over the snowy mountains  of Eastern Greece.

The colour pallette and photo, will be your guides when creating your entries.

Submissions by members of the team will be accepted untill Friday the 4th of March and subsequently posted in the Etsy Greek Street Team blog.
Entries must be new listings, created specifically for this challenge.
Please submit your items by convo to my etsy shop OnePerfectDay.

I spy......Butterfly Brooches

This week, I've got my eye on  Misty Aurora's gorgeous butterfly brooches:

If I could choose only one accessory for this month, this would have to be it.
