My creative space is full of red leather leaves today.
I've had this wonderful piece of red leather for a while now, waiting for the right project to come along....
I started these last night, thinking to add them to a flower.
But the leather is quite thick and heavy and I found the leaves way too pretty to be half hidden under the petals of the flower.
I settled on these colours for the veins, yellow, caramel and a deep, rich chestnut.
Maybe I'm -subconciously- getting ready for fall......

ReplyDeleteOh wow, I love these.
ReplyDeleteAutumn leaves are gorgeous and yes, these are definitely too nice to be hidden under a flower.....

ReplyDeleteThis is so neat, I've never seen anything like this before. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe stitched veins add SO much detail to these! Can't wait to see what you decide to do with them :)
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely. I love working with leather. That colour is fantastic. Cx
ReplyDeleteThank you girls!
ReplyDeleteI've been having lots of fun with these.
The real thing is actualy much prettier than the photos. These pics do not capture the depth of colour or that very discreet sheen of leather.
