Petite Honeysuckle Organza Brooch

At last another listing has been added to OnePerfectDay on etsy:

It's honeysuckle....(I love that word!)...

it's petite...

it has a very dramatic black centre  with tulle and beads and sequins that shine and shimmer...

and leaves made out of  thick creamy lace on top of bright green muslin.

Cloud Nine

This is a custom order brooch that a friend of a friend requested.

She specified a white and blue flower.

Which isn't something I would have come up with on my own.

But I'm so happy with the result.

And that's why I called it Cloud Nine.

Saturday Shopping- Golden Ruffle Ruff/Cuff

This is a new addition to the shop.
It's a collar or scarf when worn casualy around the neck, a ruff when wound tighter and a cuff when you wrap it around your wrist.

For some reason this picture reminds me of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

(And Merryl Streep by association.)

It's made out of a velvety vintage white cotton.

And some lovely vintage gold lace...

All in all it's a pretty versatile accessory.

Saturday Shopping-Magenta and Teal Flower Brooch

This is my latest finished and listed brooch.

It's quite little. Only about 6cm long.

But what it lacks in size it makes up for in colour.

It was made for the European Etsy Street Team Challenge:
Magenta and Teal.

Hence the teal leaves.
Out of the last piece of my favourite teal tulle.

Saturday Shopping

This Saturday I'm showing off two pale gold shantung silk cuff/armbands from the shop.

I call them The Golden Siren Cuffs as much for the enchanting texture and hue of the silk as for the enchanted creature wearing them in the picture.

They are quite versatile as the can be worn on wrist or arm -as high or low as you like.

One is with ruffle edges and has a lace-up closure.

The other one is a straight sheath-like cuff with a wider opening for the ribbon that laces it closed to show more.

You can turn it around to suit your mood, so that it shows more laced-up ribbon or more gently shimmering gold silk.

And by changing the ribbon you change the look entirely. You can add  matching, contrasting or complementary ribbon and you've got a new accessory every time.
