Fair

I just love school holidays!

I also love fairs. No matter how small.

Especially if they're  by the sea....
.....and they have fairy floss....
.....and terracota mermaids....

Top 10 Happy Easter Bunnies

These are the 10 cutest bunnies I could find, for you for Easter...

Happy Easter!
Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

Cloud Nine

This is a custom order brooch that a friend of a friend requested.

She specified a white and blue flower.

Which isn't something I would have come up with on my own.

But I'm so happy with the result.

And that's why I called it Cloud Nine.

The rikrak studio had a fun Royal Wedding Challenge where you got to choose  the fabulous wedding attire you would wear to this very special occassion -were you invited...
You had to pick out a dress, team it up with the accessory of your choice and join in!

This breath-taking 50s dot tulle dress from the fabulous VioletvilleVintage shop, paired up with:

this amazing necklace by the super-talented zsazsazsu, and :

This stunning vintage 40s evening gown , also from VioletvilleVintage, paired up with:

another striking clutch from BagNoir.
 As well as:

this dramatic necklace from RagDolliesMadHouse. (Not at all because I felt it needed any extra accessory, but because I just loved the necklace!)

Tickle Me Tuesdays

Tickle Me Tuesdays is a new kind of post for me, but it feels like I'm already becoming a fan.
I came across it by chance over at Yes, Teacher! only last week (via MyLifeUnderTheBus blog).

The idea is to put together up to 5 of the things that have captured your fancy lately in one post.

These are my latest obsessions:

This picture is one of my absolute all-time favourite pictures. I can't get enough of it.

This blog is written by Ophelia K  who seems to be sewing my dream wardrobe.
I love this pretty pink dress.

I've fallen in love with the bag in this photo.

4.WeirdTales Bracelet
Flowers and rhinestones and colour! What else could a girl ask for?

Another new romance for me. I'd wear anything in this collection.

To check out other Tickle Me Tuesday collections or to join in yourself, just hop over to  Yes,Teacher!

Hot Pink Shoot

I've finaly managed to photograph some of the brooches that have patiently been waiting their turn.
Here are just some of the photos taken.

This is just a tiny fraction of what's waiting to get sorted.

Then all I have to do is list them in the shop.

I spy......Kenzo Floral Magic

This week, I spy Kenzo's spectacular 2011 Resort Collection.

Striking florals have taken over most of the collection, but there are also a few solids thrown in, in surprising combinations.

Khaki, turquiose, sand, rose and fuschia are some of the unexpected solids to  team up with the florals.

Antonio Marras has created a look that is both fun and sophisticated.

A look perfect for spring and summer.

Recycled Green Circle Brooch

This is one of the accessories that I've been wearing a lot lately.

It's a collage of some of my favourite materials from pre-loved clothes that I couldn't bear to part with.

That shabby chic look is part of the design and is enhanced by wearing.

There are also various other versions of this brooch that it gets teamed up with on occassion and according to mood.

But this green one is one of my favourites.

Sunday Gardening

It's Spring here and nature is at its prettiest and most fragrant.

These are some of the new plants that followed us home from the nursery.

These pretty little flowers act just like a tonic.

They're guaranteed to lift your mood and put a smile on your face.

They come highly recomended.
