Brown Flower Brooch with Trailing Ribbons

Another flower brooch with trailing ribbons, this one in a mix of browns, caramel, grey and black.

You can see the brooch back above. I like these simple pins because they're pretty sturdy and the kind that won't break off and leave you with an unwearable brooch.

Red Flowers For Secret Bunnies

Continuing with the overdue 'Bunny" posts, this was what I made for my 'Secret Bunny' this year and it happened to be Athena.

Athena has a little girl so I thought a mommy-daughter pair of red flower accessories might be a good idea.

The elastic bangle version was made for Athena.
For the little one I added the same flowers on a ribbon that can be worn as a sash around her waist or tie-back ribbon in her hair.

And then I added a little flower brooch with the newest kind of flower I was making in the box too and packed it all up and sent it off to the girls.

I hope they like them and get to wear and enjoy them!

Black & White

A little black and white organza brooch with tulle leaves.

This is actually one I made a couple of years back for myself  and, surprisingly, I managed to keep it. I tend to give them away in the end, despite all my intentions of keeping them....
But, really, how many can you keep?
 I've still got this one.
I love how light and airy it is.

Making Custom Orders

I've been making custom order flowers lately, which I love.
.

I thoroughly enjoy working with people to create the exact flower that they have in mind. The flower that they long for or need.

Whether it's icing on the cake for a bride or another special occassion or whether it's to enliven someone's every day and lift their mood, it's amazing that your very own creation can spark joy!

It's a wonderful feeling.

Carolyn's NYE Flower

Sweet Carolyn from Carolyn's Homework received her very own golden champagne organza flower corsage just before Christmas and was kind enough to write a review on it

I'm thrilled with all the wonderful things she had to say as well as the fact that she's contemplting wearing it on NYE with this lovely metalic silver top.

Here's a snapshot of  the box her flower travelled across the ocean in and below is a compilation Carolyn made of some Fairytale Flower items.

It's all in her post right here.

Thank you, Carolyn!

Capturing Blue

I just love this blue organza. However, the real thing is not exactly the colour that shows up every time I take photos of the flowers I make using it.
I can't seem to be able to photograph blue and red accurately. I don't know what the trick is.

Any suggestions?
