Newest Pink And White

These are my latest in pastel pinks and white.

You can wear them as a sash, a headband or wrap them around your wrist for a pretty cuff/corsage.

With dainty white tulle leaves with lilac thread

and irridescent sequins in the shape of a flower.

This white ribbon is natural cotton and velvety soft to the touch

but very sturdy for lots of tying and untying.

I love the light and airy feel of these colours and materials.

They're all in the shop.

Wrist Corsage in Lilac, Purple and Champagne

This is my latest wrist cuff / corsage.

The flower is a delicate champagne organza that is shot through with bronze and gold set in purple and lilac toned leaves and ribbon.

I can't wait to photograph it on a model.

Tickle Me Tuesday - Lilac Romance

It's been a while since I got to take part in the Tickle Me Tuesday link up over at Yes, Teacher, and I've missed it a lot.

So here are  the things that have been capturing my imagination lately.

1. This perfect fairytale picture in my Pinterest favourites.

I'm afraid I can't find the link to the original source. (I'd better read up on that .....)

2. Cloud pictures in general make me dream I'm lying in a meadow watching clouds drift by.

Now, this one here by LupenGrainne gives the whole fantasy a vintage vibe.

3. I just discovered that the super talented lady behind the amazing StrangeWood Art of etsy has a blog. Called StrangeWood Art, funnily enough. 

This is were I found her 'cloud woman' which I just can't get enough of.

4. Lilacs are one of my favourite flowers and this picture by Alekaki is one of my favourite lilac pictures.

5. I promise I'll make a post on Lavender one of these days. It's astounding how beneficial it can be and its uses are so varied.

Pastel Pink Organza Flower with Metalic Pink Leaves

This is my newest organza flower hair clip / brooch.

I love working with pastel pink organza and this time I mixed it up with all sorts of other lovely organzas as well as tulle -the garden variety white tulle as well as tulle with lace .

I think you can see all the diferent layers in the close-up below.

However, my latest addiction is the pink metalic leaves.

I came across this fabric a while ago and it's been sitting around patiently waiting for its turn to be picked up.

Now I can't wait to make all sorts of flowers with these shiny pastel leaves.

I will readily admit to a flower hang up.

 I love them all. 

Whether natural, fabric, paper or even plastic, they still fascinate me.

Simple or intricate, once again, I admire them in equal measure.

My Creative Space - New Flower in White

I've been trying out a new fabric flower.

This is attempt number one, in white:

Simple but oh, so pretty!

I got the instructions from a tutorial in my DIY -Tutorial Board on pinterest which seems bent on escaping me right now. I'll have a better look and find the link for anyone who might be interested or you can visit the board itself for the link to this tutorial as well as many, many, other wonderful things to make and do.

My version definately needs some tweaking, but I love the overall look and I can see it being made in all sorts of colours.
