Mini Flower Headbands

Dainty little fabric flowers in a variety of colours, ready to be made into headbands.

I like the simple, unfussy, look of just one little flower on the side of the metal band.

On occasion though, I am tempted to add two -or even three- flowers on one headband....

I'll be listing a couple in my etsy shop soon.

Black Flower Crown

While the black flowers on this flower crown seem to have a blue tinge, they're actually ink black with a hint of gold and bronze thrown in - and they are made from these black organza flowers

Red Poppy Earrings

Another pair of poppy post earrings. This time in red with a discreetly lustrous pewter grey bead centre. (You can see the previous ones here.)

These ones also measure about 1.5 cm across. They are the smallest in size for these flower earrings. There is also a medium and a large size available.

And these are also listed in my Fairytale Flower etsy shop.

Dark Cherry Red Flower Pin and Bobby Pin

I made these dark cerise flowers a couple of days ago. I love this red fabric for its intense vivid colour as well as its discreet subtle sheen.

The beads in the middle are quite interesting, with an exceptional luster with shimmery hues of a variety of colours, including gold and a sort of beetle green. That probably doesn't sound very appealing and it sure isn't captured well in the photos but in reality it's very pretty and rather alluring.

For the flower brooch I attached the simple spoil-proof pin that I favour for brooches (aka pins). The kind that doesn't have the little 'wheel' that sometimes comes off.

Brown Flower Brooch with Trailing Ribbons

Another flower brooch with trailing ribbons, this one in a mix of browns, caramel, grey and black.

You can see the brooch back above. I like these simple pins because they're pretty sturdy and the kind that won't break off and leave you with an unwearable brooch.

Black Flower Brooch

This large black organza flower sash-turned-brooch was a custom order that I really enjoyed making. The ribbon is tied in a bow and then left long to trail down in a pretty cascade when worn.

Long Textile Necklace in Burgundy

I've been enjoying making some textile necklaces recently. They're all little pouches (or pockets) where you can stash a favourite item or lucky charm, a poem or love letter...whatever you want to keep close to your heart all day long.
You could even keep some emergency cash in there maybe...

This one is all burgundy - my latest colour crush.
I find it such a great colour for winter.

This one has already found its way into my MagicalFairytale shop.

Red Flower Bangle

My newest floral bangle/bracelet with a large flower in the deep burgundy red satin fabric that I have come to love.

This red hue is so rich and deep that the colour surprises me with it's intensity every time.

I sewed what seemed to me to be innumerable black lustrous glass beads in the middle of the flower to make a big black centre with a delicate shine.

It can be worn low on the wrist or higher up on the arm as a cuff.

If worn low on the wrist, it can fit the wrist exactly, so that it gently hugs the wrist and stays where you choose (but doesn't restrict the wrist or the circulation of blood) or in a larger size, as a bangle that moves around freely).

Just in time for Christmas!

Turquoise Flower Corsage

Flower corsage with striking turquiose organza flower and palest blue tulle leaves on a pastel blue ribbon.

These were a summer custom order for bridesmaids and I enjoyed making them immensely!

I find this colour so lively and vivid and cheery, it just makes me smile.

Cherry Red Flower Mini Pouch Necklace

This little pouch pendant is one of a series made with natural cotton canvas and deep cherry red embellishments.

I love this combination of colours and I love the contrast of the 'plain' cotton canvas with the rich satin of the flower and the dupioni silk of the narrow bow.

I made these little pendants with the intention of having the little pouch to carry a keepsake or good luck charm with you at all times.

I'd actually also like these attached to a plain clothespin. To pin onto a jacket or top.

Coral Summer Earrings

There's been a flurry of creative activity in these parts lately and I've been making all sorts of things, including bags, pouches, necklaces and earrings.

These are the coral organza earrings I made the other day and I have already given them to a friend. The colour is so very bright and cheery and just perfect for summer.
Now I want to make some blue and yellow ones....
