Red Poppies and Pheasant Feather Boutonnieres

These red poppy and pheasant feather boutonnieres were a request from a fall bride.
There's one for the groom and one each for the groomsmen and the young boys of the wedding party.
I also made one for the bride, as a brooch, for a keepsake.
In my opinion, you can never spoil the bride enough. Right?

Coral Summer Earrings

There's been a flurry of creative activity in these parts lately and I've been making all sorts of things, including bags, pouches, necklaces and earrings.

These are the coral organza earrings I made the other day and I have already given them to a friend. The colour is so very bright and cheery and just perfect for summer.
Now I want to make some blue and yellow ones....

Bronze Sparrow Necklace

This is a necklace I made for a friend the other day.

I've found myself being drawn more and more to the antique bronze selections in jewelry lately. So much so that I went on etsy and bought a variety of bronze jewelry supplies.

I haven't made any jewelry for what must surely be a couple of years now but it turns out it's just like riding a bike......After a couple of wobbly paces, it's just like you never stopped!

On my search for the findings that would call out to me, one of the first to catch my eye was a little bronze sparrow suspended in flight!

I loved this little guy so much I bought multiples. I plan to make a long necklace for myself that will feature this little bronze bird pretty heavily.

It's a safe bet to say you'll probably be seeing more of him.....

Blue Denim

OK, this is not a new bag.
It was made for this challenge a while back.
But it's a new picture and I really wanted to show it off......

I kept this one for myself and I wear it a lot when I don't need the giant oversized bag that fits everything.
It's quite practical.
Maybe next time I'll add a zip to close it instead of a magnetic snap.
Then again, maybe I won't.

Barely There Champagne Organza Flower Bridal Sash

This is one of my newest organza flowers and one of my new favourites.

Bridal Sash / Headband by FairytaleFlower

The golden ivory colour of the organza is so delicate and ethereal, it makes the flower look luminous, like it's barely there.

Which is why I added a ribbon in a fine, transluscent organza.
It goes particularly well, I think.

The leaves are also my latest addiction. Bridal white tulle and very white thread.

Azulado Raffle and Prizes

Selection Of Azulado Raffle Prizes

Sandra -a member of the EuropeanStreetTeam- had the extreme misfortune of losing her husband over the holidays and is left to support her five year old son on her own.
Her etsy team ESTspirit has taken it upon itself to organize a raffle in support of her plight.
For a $5 ticket you will not only be in the running for over fifty prizes -only some of which are shown in the mosaic above- donated by talented and generous est team members but you will also be supporting a grieving family.
You can see the whole story, the details of the raffle and the prizes over at StarOfTheEast.

You can even see Maria's own heartrending account of her story on her blog Azulaterra.

And of course you can always visit Sanra's shop Azulado and buy one of her ceramic masterpieces.

If you are not familiar with Sanra's beautiful ceramic creations, then the  photos above will give you an idea of her wonderful work.

Garnet Red Satin Flower Corsage

I came across some deep, garnet red satin that just begged me to try my hand at it.

I spy.....Eried Minimal Handsculpted Bell Flower Brooches

This week, I spy Eried's latest addition to her beautiful minimal accessories, namely the fabulous bell flower series of brooches.

Bell Flower with Oxidized Silver Stamen by Eried

First of all, I must disclose the fact that I am a long standing fan of Eri's work....I love the organic form of her accessories that seem to be inspired by the natural world in general and flowers in particular.

I'm always impressed by the way she can transform ultra romantic flowers like pansies, roses, tulips and jasmine into undisputably contemporary accessories.

This series of bell flower brooches in mostly black and white is no exception and fits right in with the other highly stylized and surprisingly edgy flower accessories in her shop.
