I spy......Juime Wearable Art Brooches.

This week, I spy.....these fabulous wearable art brooches  by Juime.

Juime is Manuela Olten's shop which hosts a wealth of  wonderfully original creations.

 Not only fabric jewelry, but also dolls, pouches, bags and enchanting home decor, all rendered in her own unique and enchanting way.

And these are the sweet, smiling 
mermaid pendants in her shop - just because I can't resist....

There is also a wonderful Juime blog where you can catch up on almost daily updates of Manuela's work in progress as well as snippets of her creative space.

It's Saturday! Time to join zsazsazsu for Saturday Shopping.

 This is the latest cuff in the shop. It's not the usual kind of cuff I make but it was created for last week's  European Street Team challenge which I was really excited about!

The theme was 'Medieval'.
So I found one of granny's already damaged embroidered pieces, cut it up and made this.

And I called 'The Queen Of Hearts Tapestry Cuff'.

EGST Challenge- Flying Flamingo

I'm very happy to be hosting this month's challenge for the Etsy Greek Street Team.
The inspiration for this challenge is this wonderful photo by Stephmel of a pink flamingo captured in flight over the snowy mountains  of Eastern Greece. 


The colour pallette and photo, will be your guides when creating your entries.

Submissions by members of the team will be accepted untill Friday the 4th of March and subsequently posted in the Etsy Greek Street Team blog.

Entries must be new listings, created specifically for this challenge.

Saturday Shopping

This Saturday I'm showing off two pale gold shantung silk cuff/armbands from the shop.

I call them The Golden Siren Cuffs as much for the enchanting texture and hue of the silk as for the enchanted creature wearing them in the picture.

They are quite versatile as the can be worn on wrist or arm -as high or low as you like.

 

One is with ruffle edges and has a lace-up closure.

 

The other one is a straight sheath-like cuff with a wider opening for the ribbon that laces it closed to show more.

You can turn it around to suit your mood, so that it shows more laced-up ribbon or more gently shimmering gold silk.

And by changing the ribbon you change the look entirely. You can add  matching, contrasting or complementary ribbon and you've got a new accessory every time.
