I'm a big fan.

Looking for soups I came across this:

I spy......Laureano Barrau

This week, I spy Spanish impressionist painter Laureano Barrau (1863-1957).

I came across him by chance here.

And it wasn't too easy finding his biography.

He was born in Barcelona and studied in his native city, Madrid  and Paris.

When he was 47, he came to the island of Ibiza.

Captivated by it's charm and local colour, he and his wife decided to make it their home.

They settled in the town of Santa Eulala del Rio.

Where he lived to the ripe old age of 94.

The Ibiza period is considered his finest-

as it is full of light and colour.

Saturday Shopping- Golden Ruffle Ruff/Cuff

This is a new addition to the shop.
 It's a collar or scarf when worn casualy around the neck, a ruff when wound tighter and a cuff when you wrap it around your wrist.

For some reason this picture reminds me of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

(And Merryl Streep by association.)

It's made out of a velvety vintage white cotton.

And some lovely vintage gold lace...

All in all it's a pretty versatile accessory.

Today finally feels and looks like spring again.

   This week, I spy The Green Case Travel Case by Design Sponge.

                 I was instantly smitten when I saw this the other day!
It's actually a diy project with full instructions for a surprise lunch kit.

What a wonderful way to welcome spring!
