Rose Organza on Bronze Leaves Bag Charm

Remember the organza flower key chain/bag charm I made for a friend the other day?
Well, here's my very own organza flower key chain with the same type organza flower but very different bronze leaves.

I carry  it around everywhere!

It most definately brightens my day.

I think I found out what my next give-away will be.....

A new key chain of your very own.
What do you think?

First Ever Organza Flower Key Ring

An organza-flower-and-leaves collage for your keys - it's been on my list forever. So I'm thrilled to finally make one!

This is actually a gift for a friend who's not the kind of girl to wear organza flowers on her person -incomprehensible, I know!

Now she can carry it around with her keys.
The long ribbon is not only for girly bows. It's to help you fish it out of your purse easily.

I've been making a different version of this for my keys for the last few years
and it's so great to always be able to find your keys on the first try.....(I'll try and make a tutorial for it one of these days.)

The red and pink tones are in tune with my latest red craze that isn't showing any signs of abating.

I teamed it up with the cutest red and white polka dot box I could find.

I wish I'd taken a picture of it with it's pretty purple ribbon.....

My Creative Space - Orange and Rose

These are my latest organza flowers.
A mix of rose and gold and orange organza which I was a bit doubtful of at first, but now it's won me over. I find it very feminine and chic.

I can imagine this in the impecably coiffed hair of a pin-up girl.

Finishing Touches - Canvas Leaves

Today I'm finishing off these mother-daughter brooches with summery, canvas leaves.

The veins of the leaves are in my favourite bright red thread.

If they look ready to fray at the edges, that's because they are.

They're going to slowly fray to a pretty dishabille edge.

I'm toying with the idea of attaching the next lot already frayed to their ultimate shabby glory.

In various other colours too.

The next challenge is to actualy list them -at some stage- in the shop.....

My Creative Space -More Mother-Daughter Accessories

I've started a new batch of mother-daughter organza flowers:

You can see the bigger-smaller sizes here.

I'm so very happy with the outcome. I love the layers of colour and texture.

Now I have to decide on the centres.
And whether they will be corsages, headbands or sashes.....

My Creative Space - Mother-Daughter Accessories

This is what's on my work table today:

These are part of the mummy-daughter accessories I've started making.

This red mix is actualy quite striking.
(Unfortunately these pictures do not accurately capture the colours.)

The layers of organza, tulle and viscose include burgundy, flame, orange, hot pink, fuschia, neon pink and a dark rose.

They are quite large, about 5.5in/14cm for the mummy one and 4in/10cm for the daughter one.

Now they need some leaves and they'll be ready....
