Delicate Blooms

These champagne and ivory flowers are always such a joy to make.

They're delicate and ethereal and they posses an almost fragile quality that I find absolutely hard to describe.

A picture can only show so much and to me these are so much more than what the pictures can show.

My Creative Space - Ivory And Pearl Hair Clips

I've been working on some ivory flower hair clips lately.
The perfect colour for bridal hair flowers.

The petals are a mix of ivory and the palest yellow-gold organzas and I love how they look with the pearls in the centres.

They're actually a tone or two yellower that the photos, like pastel gold, and they are just over 3.5 inches across.

I've got more of these petals ready to make into flowers, so I think I'll play around with the centres and see what happens.

It's time to try some rhinestones and some stamen.

Barely There Champagne Organza Flower Bridal Sash

This is one of my newest organza flowers and one of my new favourites.

Bridal Sash / Headband by FairytaleFlower

The golden ivory colour of the organza is so delicate and ethereal, it makes the flower look luminous, like it's barely there.

Which is why I added a ribbon in a fine, transluscent organza.
It goes particularly well, I think.

The leaves are also my latest addiction. Bridal white tulle and very white thread.

Softest Champagne Silk Ruffle Cuff

The silk used for this cuff was such a joy to work with.
In the most subtle of golds and soft as a baby kitten, it's most definately a favourite.

There's also some of my grandmother's prized crochet lace there.
I'm sure I've mentioned her before. She was a wizard with a hook.
 A real master.

Every time I see her handiwork I regret not learning to crochet from her when I had the chance.

So I use the precious stash I have judiciously.

I've also used some natural cotton ribbon in an antique white.
It's quite stiff to begin with, but every time it's worn, it gets softer and softer untill it's smooth and silky.

My Creative Space - Champagne Organza Flowers

These are one of the new  organza flowers I've been working on lately, in a positively luminous champagne organza.

I'm afraid they don't photograph well.

They are much more impressive in person.

Although I don't instinctively go for the subtle and subdued colours when it comes to organza for flowers, this one was love at first sight.

I can see these as pretty, flirty hair accessories- with or without leaves.
