Sweet Treat
A while back, I was the lucky winner of a Petit Plat give-away on Handmade Europe blog.
This is the dainty little package that arrived on my doorstep.
And this is the delicate miniature donut pendant it contained.
It's just the prettiest thing.
The owner of PetitPlat is Stephanie and she makes the most amazing food art.
If you haven't come across her incredible miniature food, I wholeheartedly reccomend you look it up, right here.

New Baby Pink Organza Flower
Here's a new little organza flower brooch in the very pale, very delicate pink organza I've rediscovered lately.
This one has an irridescent centre of translucent, shimmering hearts
-one of my absolute favourite sequins ever.
And leaves made out of a liberty-like floral cotton with dainty pink flowers and a sprinkling of green leaves.
Yes, a favourite also, from my vintage stash.
I decided to opt for the black stitching for some contrast and I'm quite happy with the outcome.
Here's a picture of the whole brooch from the front
and from the back.
Don't forget to enter January's Give-Away for a chance to win a similar but much larger Pale Pink Organza Flower.

First New Year Give-Away- Baby Pink Organza Flower
Now, here is the first give-away of the year, as promised.
The palest of pink organza petals with a surprising, black centre that sparkles and, I think, accentuates the delicate pink organza.
It's not on the dainty size as it measures about 11cm/4.5in across.
The two leaves it rests on are combination of an off-white cotton canvas and an antique white, thick jersey with shabby chic, unfinished edges.
I was intending it to be a brooch -as the photo underneath testifies- but the winner can decide it's fate and keep it as a brooch, turn it into a headband or maybe a sash.
I'll happily customize it for its new owner.
To win, all you have to do is leave a comment saying what you'd like to see this flower to be if you won it.
For additional entries you can do any/all of the following.
(But don't forget to leave a seperate entry telling me you did so, so that it can be counted as an extra entry)

If I cannot contact the winner or if the winner fails to respond within a week there will be another draw.

Nautical Circle Brooch - Newly Listed
I don't know why these seem a bit Christmas-y to me.....
Maybe it's the red and white.
Or the snow-flakey stitching on this one.
Or maybe it's because I'm feeling the Christmas spirit early this year.
It is, after all, the most wonderful time of the year...just like the song says.
In any case, I've got my own set of these and they've been my sole choice of accessory lately.
The pictured set is now listed in the shop.

Lavender Loveheart Brooches
This is the finished product, modelled and shot and in the shop!
Silky to the touch, sweet-smelling, girlie, lavender-filled lovehearts that you can carry with you all day long, pinned to your top, jacket or even your bag .
The colours: dusty rose pink, bright red, mellow burgundy, rusty orange and caramel brown.
I'm a big fan of lavender as well as lavender sachets.
I think I was hooked when reading about the long list of healing and therapeutic properties of the herb.
I've been meaning to make a special post about it for some time -and one of these days I will...
Until then, here's the skinny:
Lavender is well known for it's calming, soothing properties but it's actualy also a tonic and a stimulant and is used against exhaustion .
Anti-stress and anti-depressant, it relieves anxiety and can even help balance mood swings.
There's so many uses that the list seems endless......
......I'll have to make that post soon.
